Vickie Fleming Burns, 42, Florence, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 1996. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Lee Heights Baptist Church with burial in Old Town Creek Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 12:30-1 p.m.
Officiating at the funeral will be Laymon Brewer Jr. and Charles Canterbury.
She was a native of Franklin County, Alabama.
She is survived by her husband, Wm. D. "Bill" Burns, Florence, Ala.; sons, Nicholas Burns, Florence, Ala.; sister, Martha F. Cantebury, Decatur, Ala.; brothers, Malcolm Fleming, Red Bay, Ala., Donald Fleming, Russellville, Ala., Dwight Fleming, Leighton, Ala.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rayburn and Jimmie Lou Fleming.
Pallbearers will include friends of the family.
She was employed at Helen Keller Hospital.
She was a member of Lee Heights Baptist Church of Florence.
She was a loving mother and wife, and a graduate of Mount Hope High School, Class of 1972, Lawrence County, Ala.
