Mildred Farrar Gaines, 73, of Elyria, sister of William Farrar of Oberlin, died Feb. 1 at Elyria Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
Born in Oberlin, she was a lifelong Lorain County resident.
She is also survived by her husband, Gerald E. Gaines, Sr., a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Kathleen) Graham of Honolulu; two sons, Gerald E. Jr. of Lorain and Raymond D. of Elyria; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday afternoon at the Curtis-Scheuffler Funeral Home with burial in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
