Barbara Ellen Bergstresser

Mrs. Barbara Ellen Bergstresser died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. H. Witter, 246 East Orange street, Shinpensburg, Monday night, May 12 at 9:25 o'clock. She had been ill two weeks previous to her death with complications due to advanced age.
Mrs. Bergstresser was a daughter of George and Eliza Kesselring, and was born September 23, 1845, being at the time of her,death aged 84 years, 7 months and 19 days.
She was united in marriage to Clark Benson Bergstresser Of Waterfall in 1874 who preceded her to the grave 4 yeas ago. She was a member of the United Brethren Church from the age of 14 years.
She was the mother of seven children, three of whom died in infancy, two boys Harvey B. and Hayes W., preceded her to the grave several years ago.
She is survived by. one son, Edward Bergstresser, Oneco, Florida, one daughter. (Muda) Mrs. Witter, one sister. Mrs. Emrna Postlethwaite of Turtle Creek, and one brother. E. O. Kesselrlng of Hustontown. also fifteen grandchildren, and eleven great graud children.
A short service was held at the Witter residence at 13 o'clock Tbursday after wbich the body was taken to New Grenada. Fulton county. where funeral services were held and interment in Betbel Cemetery. Rev. J. Stewart Gloou was the officiating clergyman.
To Mrs. Bergstresser life had become a burden and she was lonely for the old friends and scenes of bygone days. She realized her race was nearly run, and was patiently waiting to hear the summons "Child Come Home."
