Mr. Clark spent three years (February 19, 1943-April 7, 1946) in the United States Navy during World War II. He was stationed at the Torpedo Testing Range at Piney Point, Maryland and held the rank of SSM(T)2C. After returning from service, he farmed and worked in real estate. He worked at National Homes, Inc. for Leland Smith in Lebanon and also for Gene B. Glick in Indianapolis.
He was an insurance agent and employed as a Western & Southern Life Insurance Representative in Boone County for twenty-six years. He was active until his retirement in 1989.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Clark enjoyed his family and friends and was known for his jovial and friendly manner. He enjoyed his career and liked to work in the yard and enjoyed growing flowers.
