Rock Musician. A left-handed bass guitarist, he was best known as "#2, The Pig" for the heavy metal band Slipknot. He co-founded the Des Moines, Iowa-based group in 1995, which went on to multi-platinum success and seven Grammy Award nominations, winning the Best Metal Performance Grammy for "Before I Forget" in 2006. They have sold over 14 million records worldwide. Onstage, Gray was known as much for the grotesque masks he wore as for his musicianship. Outside of Slipknot he filled in as bassist for the group Unida during their 2003 tour, and performed with such acts as Reggae and the Full Effect and Drop Dead, Gorgeous.
