Gertie M. (Warfel) Bechtel, 79, of Powells Valley Road in Halifax passed away Monday, May 24 at the Manor At Susquehanna Village.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1930, in Enders the daughter of the late Arthur Clinton and Olive Margaret (Lubold) Warfel.
She attended Jacob's UM Church, Halifax.
She was the wife of the late Robert L. "Bob" Bechtel.
She is survived by her daughter Linda M. Anderson of Halifax, son Robert M. Bechtel and his wife Debra of Berrysburg, and son Lee E. Bechtel and his wife Cheri of Halifax. She is also survived by her sister Mary Shoop of Halifax, her grandchildren Marcie Sabolsky, Corey Dorman, Matthew Danner, Crystal Beach, Kayla and Ryan Bechtel, and her great-grandchildren Sarah & Mikkayla Danner and Kiersten & Collin Sabolsky, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, May 26 from 7-9:00 PM at Halifax UM Church.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 27 at 2:00 PM with a viewing again at the church from 1-2:00 PM, burial will follow at Jacobs UB Cemetery in Halifax.
