William Cutright - Took his life at his home in Homewood Tuesday. Early Tuesday morning his wife died, and two of the family are ill of typhoid fever. Mr. and Mrs. Cutright were buried at the Polk Creek (now Waldeck) cemetery on Wednesday.

"With his wife dead, and children ill, neighbors came in to help. He took the men to an outbuilding, showed them lumber for the casket; then reached up onto a shelf for the gun and shot himself."
