CORBIN — Flossie Mae Bolton, 92, of Corbin, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010, at The Heritage.
She was born Dec. 18, 1917, at Bark Camp to the late Brint and Elva (Alsip) Littrell.
She was married for over 50 years to Charlie Bolton, who died in 1998.
Flossie was a member of Greenland Baptist Church. For many years, she sang in the Frankfort Baptist Church quartet with her husband, Charlie, her father, Brint, and her neighbor, Ethel Roaden. Flossie worked in a local clothing factory during World War II making uniforms for the American military. As a homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, and raising a large garden of food for canning, freezing, and sharing with family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Boyd Littrell of Corbin; nieces and nephews including her caregiver, Janet (David) Fairchild of Richmond, Ind.; Leland (Glenna) Littrell of Oxford, Ohio; Jay (Carene) Stewart of Prescott, Ariz.; and great niece, Angela Fairchild of Richmond, Ind.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Carl Littrell, and her sister, Edith Stewart.

Flossie's funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Wells officiating. Burial will follow at the Bark Camp Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
