Arlene B. Burton, 93, of 35A Revere St., Nashua, died Saturday evening, Nov. 4, 2000, at Birchwood Nursing Home in Derry.
Mrs. Burton was born Feb. 16, 1907, in Nashua, daughter of the late Frederick E. and Blanche (Tessier) Brown. She was a lifelong resident of Nashua.
She was the widow of George F. Burton, who died July 23, 1987, in Derry.
Mrs. Burton worked in the office of the former J.F. McElwain Shoe Co. in Nashua for 34 years.
She was a member of the Salvation Army Home League.
Mrs. Burton was an active member of Arlington Street United Methodist Church.
She attended schools in Nashua and graduated from the former Nashua Business College.
Mrs. Burton was predeceased by a brother, Leon E. Brown, who died in October 1975.
Survivors include two nieces, Elaine B. (Brown) Garland of Goffstown and Lois L. (Brown) Ayer of Nashua; two grandnephews, Leith L. Garland of Mansfield, Mass., and Todd Ayer of Nashua; a grandniece, Allison C. Ayer of Nashua; a cousin, Preston T. Walsh of Hollis; and a close friend, Simone T. Peloquin of Nashua.
The Farwell Funeral Service in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
