Charles Clark, Ex-City Golf Champion, Dies
Charles E. Clark, 56, a winner of the city amateur and West Coast Open golf championships just after World War II, died Wednesday night. Mr. Clark was well known in Tampa golf circles, and was a member of the Tampa Golf Association. He was a native Floridian and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Centro Asturiano Club and was associated with the U. S. Plywood Co. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Josephine Clark, Tampa; a [adopted]son, William Clark, Tampa; two brothers, William P. Clark, Phoenix, and James J. Clark, Tampa, and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ballentine, New Edinburg, Ark.; Mrs. Rosann Eldredge, Fort Myers, and Mrs. Mary Jacoby, Tampa.
