Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 12, 1974 at 2:00 p.m. in Jolley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Evert Short, pastor of the Trinity Baptism church in Idabel, Okla., officiating. Burial followed in Lanes Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Jolley's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jack Foster, Ross Griffen, Kermit Brantley, Rufas King, Suey Sauls and Hershel Ervin.
Mr. Rogers was born in Red River County, September 19, 1909. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. K. Rogers. He married the former Vica Burns June 19, 1929. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Clarksville.
Surviving Mr. Rogers is his wife, one son, Carroll Rogers of Idabel; sisters, Nannie Henley, Houister, California, Winnie Widner of Clarksville and Esther Love of Euless, Texas. He also had six grandchildren.
