WHITEWRIGHT - Guy Monroe Davis was born Oct. 8, 1921 at Tom Bean to Dow Davis and Bonnie Darnell Davis.

He married Nancy Sue England on Feb. 22, 1947 at Whitewright, Texas

He died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the age of 88 at his residence in Pilot Point.

Guy served his nation in the U.S. Army during World War II in Germany and France.

He is a retired painter, carpenter and a long-time employee of Earnheart Funeral Home in Whitewright.

He is survived by wife, Nancy Davis of Pilot Point; son, Frank Monroe Davis and his wife Susan of Pilot Point; grandchildren, Erin Marie Davis and Tyler Monroe Davis of Denton; brother, N.H. Davis and wife Polly of Bonham.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Whitewright. Officiating the service will be Rev. Normous Free.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 6 -8 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Whitewright.

Arrangements are with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright.
