CREWS Mr. Corbitt S. " C" Crews, Jr., 75, of Glen St. Mary, Fla. died 11/25/03. He was born in Glen St. Mary and resided there all of his life. He was the son of the late Corbit S. and Mattie M. Hodges Crews, Sr. He was employed in the construction industry for many years with B. J. Heiliq Construction Company of Jacksonville, Fla., A. J. Johns and John R. " Buck" Davis of Macclenny, Fla. and was a heavy equipment operator with the Baker County Road Department for ten years until his retirement in 1989. He was a hard worker and was a former president of the Road Department Union. He was a charter member, a former grounds keeper for 14 years and taught Sunday School and Wednesday night Bible study at the Raiford Road Church, Macclenny, Fla. He was an Army veteran of WWII having served in Japan. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Crews of Glen St. Mary, Fla.; one daughter, Wanda (Carl) Robinson of Glen St. Mary, Fla.; three sons, Johnny (Janice) Crews of Macclenny, Fla., Jimmy (Kathy) Crews of St. Augustine, Fla. and Randall (Sharri) Crews of Lake Butler, Fla.; one step-daughter, Carol Gynan Combs of Macclenny, Fla.; three step-sons, Marshall (Debbie) Combs and John Mark (Cheryl) Combs both of Glen St. Mary, Fla. and Eddie (Angela) Combs of Nashville, Tenn.; four sisters, Rosie (Jack) Crowell of Penney Farms, Fla., Crecie Rhoden and Mavis (Joe) Griffis both of Macclenny, Fla, and Lucy Davis of Glen St. Mary, Fla.; one brother, Eugene (Noma Jeanne) Crews of Birmingham, Ala.; eleven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Saturday, Nov. 29, in the Raiford Road Church with Rev. David Hodges, Pastor of the Manntown Church, officiating and assisted by Rev. Eddie Griffis, Associate Pastor of Raiford Road Church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Fla. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Fla.
