Mrs. Mary Dale, Aged 74 Years, Is Summoned

Mrs. Mary Dale, aged 74 years, passed away Tuesday a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Rasmus, and family in Loda. The deceased, who has been making her home with her children for the past eleven years, has been an invalid for the last four years and has spent most of her time in a wheel chair. She was suffering from hardening of the arteries and previous to her death she had spent a month with her daughter, Mrs. Rasmus, and family.

Mrs. Dale was born in Bergen, Norway, on August 2, 1859. She came to American at an early age in life and resided in the Elliott community for more than fifty years. Mr. Dale's passing occurred thirty-four years ago.

For a great many years, Mrs. Dale was a member of the Pontoppidan Norwegian Lutheran church but owing to her illness it has been impossible for her to attend services during the last years of her life.

Surviving Mrs. Dale are nine children, who are namely, Mrs. Robert Boyd, of Shelbyville, Ill.; Mrs. William Rasmus, of Loda; Mrs. Frank Aaron, of Elwood, Ind.; Holliver S. Dale, of Loda; Elmer Dale, of Loda; Mrs. Harvey Shore, of Bristol, Ind.; James Dale, of Cissna Park; Melvin Dale, of Loda; Mrs. Ralph Gephart, of Edwardsville, Ill.

Mrs. Dale was a kindly lady of beautiful character who was beloved by all who knew her. The news of her passing will be received with a great deal of genuine sorrow.
