Jeremiah David "J.D." Keating, 93, passed away peacefully Friday, May 21, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. J.D. served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After returning home, he worked for the GSA, SSA and later retired from the FDA. J.D. had several hobbies, including fishing, CB radios and traveling in his Airstream Trailer with NTAC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth A. Keating, and his parents, J.D. Keating Sr. and Grace Queen. Survivors: Daughter, Karen Keating; grandchildren, Christine Villavisencio, Michelle Malaty and Dylan Dougharty; six great-grandchildren; and brothers, George and Eugene Keating.
