The funeral was yesterday morning at Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. R. D. Caldwell officiating. Burial was in Gum Springs Cemetery located 12 miles from Fayetteville.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Elbert and Nannie Ella Bennett Pitcock. He was a member of the Smithland Community Church and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his children's mother, Mrs. Juanita Pitcock of Kelso; a daughter, Mrs. Debbie Bailey of Fayetteville; four sons, Wayne Pitcock, Phillip Pitcock, and Mike Pitcock, all of the Kelso community; and James Pitcock of Fayetteville; a sister, Olene Crouch of Fayetteville; three brothers, Owen Pitcock and J.M. Pitcock, both of Kelso and Roy Pitcock of Flintville.
