Homegoing celebration for Lonnie Washington, 56, Daytona Beach, who died May 15, 2008, will be Saturday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at Deliverance Temple School Street COGIC, Daytona Beach, with Elder Samuel Williams, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Ararat Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, May 23, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Herbert Thompson Funeral Home.

Mr. Washington was a native of Daytona Beach. His true love was boxing and printing signs.

He leaves to cherish his memory four loving sisters, Nellie Smith (Alfred), Hattie Mitchell (Horace), Josephine Washington, and Jessie Washington; and one loving brother, Robert Washington, all of Daytona Beach; a host of very devoted nephews and nieces, who all provided him with loving care; a host of devoted cousins, including Lois Thomas, who also helped with his care; lots of loving friends; and his mentor and buddy, Mother Dilcy Curry.
