LHA Uriah Leftwich line.

She is in an unmarked grave.

On November 7, the angel of death entered the home of Luther Leftwich and took therefrom his dearest earthly treasure, his beloved wife, Alma. Oh we cannot understand now why one so young and so much loved by all should be taken, but, we shall know hereafter God saw fit to call her. While we hear no more her voice and see her bright face, we cannot wish her back to this world of suffering and sorrow, for we have the blessed assurances that she cannot come to us, but we can go to her. But so sad indeed when the family tie is broken, especially when mother is first called. How sad we do feel for the dear husband and little boy the little one especially to go through this world without the care and protection of the greeatest love ever shown, "a mother's." Her remains were laid to rest in North Bedford burying ground of which church she was a member. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.S. Royall, in the presence of a large crowd of sympathizing friends and relatives.

"A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we love is still.
A place is vacant in that home,
Which never can be filled."
