Will be sold before the courthouse door in the city of Atlanta, Fulton county, Georgia, on the first Tuesday in June, 1894, within the legal hours of sale, the following property, to-wit: . .

Also, at the same time and place, the following property, to -wit: All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Fulton, State of Georgia consisting 95 acres more or less, and ___ in the 17th district of Fulton county, Georgia bounded as follows: On the east by the lands of L C and G W Waits, W H Brightwell and on the south by lands of L C and G W and J E Waits, on the West by lands of B F BURDETT, and on the north by lands of M. Abernathy. Also all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the 17th district of Fulton County, Georgia, containing 51 acres, more or less, in the southwest corner of land lot 73, agregating 101 acres, more or less. Levided on as the property of W J Waits to satisfy a fi fa issued from Fulton superior court in favor of H J Seals vs. W J Waits. Property pointed out by plaintiff's attorney.

The appraisers appointed to value the estate of W. B. Brightwell filed their report in the ordinary's office yesterday. The amount of the estate was $1,231.50. The largest item was 174 acres of land situated in the county. The appraisers were B. F. Burdett, W. A. Morgan, J. W. Ball, Joseph Evans, and I. H. Wilson.

B. F. Burdett Purchases L. A. Wood Realty Agency

B. F. Burdett, who about a year ago entered the real estate business in Atlanta with Shelby Smith, under the firm name of Smith & Burdett, has purchased the L. A. Woods Real Estate Agency, one of the oldest and best established in the city.

The new firm will be styled B. F. Burdett Realty Company and is composed of B. F. Burdett and Arthur Burdett, with H. D. Brook and others as salesmen. Mr. Brook has been in the real estate business for a number of years, being well acquainted with the city. This firm will occupy the same offices at 412 and 414 Empire building formerly occupied by L. A. Woods.

Since entering the real estate business in connection with Shelby Smith, Mr. Burdett has made rapid strides in this line of work, and now expects to do an active work in city property, as well as making a specialty of farm lands and acreage.

Hudson To Address Good Road Meeting

Thomas G. Hudson, commissioner of agriculture, will address the National Good Roads, congress in Birmingham May 23. B F Burdett, 74, Realtor, Passes

Widely-Known Atlanta Developer Was Born and Reared in North Fulton.

B F Burdett, president of the Burdett Realty Company and widely known in Atlanta and Fulton county died at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at his residence at 1857 Peachtree road, N E. He was 74.

A pioneer real estate man in Atlanta, Mr. Burdett founded his company in 1910 and continued as its head until his death.

He had been partially retired for the last five years because of failing health and his firm has been conducted by his sons and sons in law.

Mr. Burdett was born and reared in north Fulton county, near Sandy Springs, and learned his early education in the schools of Atlanta.

He entered business here at an early age and for many years was prominent and identified in the civic, social and religious life of this city.

A lover of beauty and nature, Mr. Burdett made a hobby of landscaping and devoted much of his time to this work.

His company developed the Brookwood Hills subdivision, the residential section which lies off Peachtree road. This project was begun by Mr. Burdett in 1922.

He was instrumental also in the developing real estate in ___ parts of Fulton and in counties which adj_n.

Mr. Burdett was active as a member of the First Baptist church until his death ___ ___ to remain at his home. He __r was a member of __ __ ______.

He was ____ of Sandy Springs ________ arrangement of the funeral to be ____ by H M Patterson & Son.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. T E Womack, Mrs. H S Copeland, Mrs. L A McKinley, Mrs. P H Hall, and Miss Eunice Burdett; three sons, Arthur C., Lawrence A and Lawton C. Burdett, all of whom reside in Atlanta; three sisters, Mrs. C Q Trimble, of College Park; Mrs. Frank C. Holbrook and Miss Lydia Burdett of Atlanta, and four brothers, W M Burdett of Atlanta, T S and A A Burdett, both of Moultrie, Ga and H C [sic] Burdett, of Franklin, Ga.
