Charles A. Young, 82, of N. SR 67 in Sycamore, Ohio, die at 8:04 a.m. Thursday , May 20, 2010, at his home.

He was born February 7, 1928, in Wyandot County, to Clarence A. and Edna A. (Weininger) Young. He marrie Marilyn J. (Chandler) Young and she survives in Syacamore.

Othe suvivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joyce (Paul) Weaver of rural Tiffin and Mrs. Joann (Steve) Riedlinger of rural sycamore; and four grandchildren, Rebel (Jason) Marsh, Ryan L. Weaver, Samantha Riedlinger and Creston Riedlinger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Lynn and Craig Young; a brother, Lewis Young; and a sister, Anna Harriet Bogard.

Charles was a retired timber buyer, farmed and worked for Marion Correctional for ten years. He was a member of Sycamore United Methodist Church and a 1946 graduate of Sycamore High School. He was a member of Enterprise Lodge #579 E&AM in Sycamore, a member of the Tiffin Eagles and a former member of Sycamore American Legion Post #250. Charles loved to play cards, work in his garden and also did some woodworking.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, 201 West Saffel Avenue, Sycamore. A Masonic service will begin at 4 p.m.

Charle's funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, May 24, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Glasscock officiaring. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sycamore.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
