Funeral Service: Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel with Clem Street officiating.
Interment: Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens at Ivel, Ky.
Edith Reynolds Roberts, age 94, of Pikeville passed away, Monday, May 17, 2010 at her home.
She was a retired school teacher in Pike County, teaching last at Jackson Rowe. She was a member of the Pikeville First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Women's Circle at the Church, the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, a former Meals on Wheels participant and formerly very active in all Church activities.
She was born in Pike County at Phyllis, Kentucky on August 31, 1915 the daughter of the late Miles and Polly Ann Justice Reynolds.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Leonard Ward Roberts in 1983. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Robert Kelly and one brother, Ervel Reynolds and two sisters, Clara Dawson and Merle Wright.
She is survived by four daughters, Sue Carolyn Atkins and her husband, Bill of Jeffersonville, Ind., Margaret Ann Biller and her husband, Larry of Harold, Ky., Rita Helen Kelly of Sanford, N.C., and Lynneda Jane Denny of Pikeville, Ky.
Two brothers, Perry Finis Reynolds of Dayton, Ohio and Frennie Warren Reynolds of Dayton, Ohio and one sister, Zelda Bertrand of Feds Creek, Ky.
She is also survived by Six Grandchildren, Two Step-Grandchildren, Fifteen Great-Grandchildren and Four Step-Great-Grandchildren.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Eduel Adkins, Brian Bear, Kevin O'Connor, Leonard Kelly, Mark Larson and Jim Slagle.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Bill Baird.
