NEWPORT -- Mary Margaret Welch, 44, of Bend, died Tuesday as the result of an auto accident on the North Santiam Highway near ldanha. Born in North Bend, she had been a resident of Bend for the past six years. She was employed as a visual aid librarian by the Bend School District. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. Survivors include her mother, Alice Miller, and stepfather, Alvin Miller, Gleneden Beach; daughters, Mary Elam, Seattle, and Kimberly Hoffman, Phoenix, Ariz.; and brother, Ted Echols, Boise. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bateman's mortuary here, with entombment in Chelan Abbey, Newport.
