Pamela Jayne (Roberts) Grant was born in Carthage, Missouri where she lived until age nine. Her family moved to Sun Valley, California where she attended Polytechnic High School. A very popular cheerleader and beautiful prom queen, Pam met her husband and they were married after high school. The young couple relocated to Placer County and during their 37 years of marriage they raised their children.

Pam worked for many years in the medical field at both Auburn Faith Community Hospital and for a local physician. Over the years she enjoyed water and snow skiing, the theater with her friends, camping and supported her husband and children in their sporting events. She found great joy in home gardening. All who had the privilege of knowing her will remember her with love.

Over the fourteen years of dealing with her own battles with Ovarian Cancer, she mentored many women freshly diagnosed with other cancers. She freely gave of her experience, knowledge and love to assist them with their own battles. She never complained to anyone of her courageous struggle with cancer even up until the time it took her life.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lassila Funeral Chapel, Auburn, CA. She would enjoy knowing you made a donation to The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
