Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Barringer have a little son born February 29. He will be one of those who have a birthday only every four years to celebrate.
Kenneth Barringer, 15, died at Wright's Hospital in Fergus Falls, Friday, Feb. 12th, where he had been taken from his home in Akron Twp., the day proceeding. Kenneth had been suffering with quincy for a few days and due to the blocked roads it was impossible to get him to the hospital earlier.
Kenneth was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Barringer and was born in Akron Twp., Feb. 23, 1929. At the age of 10 years, he became afflicted with diabetes and never grew to be a very big boy. In spite of his ailment, he was usually cheerful and very bright. He started attending the Rothsay H. S. last year and was a sophomore at the time of his untimely death. He will be sadly missed, not only by his family, but also by his Rothsay schoolmates and teachers. He is survived by his parents and one brother, Lyle.
The funeral is being held this Thursday afternoon from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Max, grand-parents of the deceased and later from the Bureau Lutheran church of which Kenneth had been a devoted member.
The remains are to rest in the cemetery near the church.
The bereaved family has the sincere sympathy of all in their dark hour of sorrow.
