Arthur N. Anthons was born in Decatur Feb 20, 1866, and practically all of his life had been spent here. For the past seventeen years he had been employed as a hoisting engineer for the Macon County Coal company. Previous to that he was employed in the machinery department of the Wabash. He was well known and had a great many friends In the city. Mr. Anthons is survived by his wife Mrs Zella E. Athons, and one daughter, Miss Daisy H. Athons. He also leaves three brothers and two sisters, Fred Athons, Herbert Athons, Roy Athons, Mrs. Patsy A Houck and Mrs. Sadie C. Atherton, all of Los Angeles, Cal.
