James Schooley was born in Indiana on Feb 18, 1869 and passed away at Farmington, MO on Dec 15, 1944 at the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 27 days.

In 1891 he was united in marriage to Margaret Sheldon Payne in Tuscumby, MO. To this union, six children were born, four daughters, Margaret George of Beggs, OK, Ethel Jones, Peggy Givens and Elizabeth Cochran all of California. Two sons James and H. O., better known as Obde. Three sisters Eliza McCubbins of Brumley, MO, Sarah Evans of MT and Mary Hawkins of KS. One brother Harvey of Ullmann, MO. He also leaves 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Mr. Schooley was a devoted husband and a good father. He professed faith in Christ about four years ago.

Mrs. Schooley has preceeded him in death about four years ago. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain. The remains were laid to rest in the Horine Cemetery with Roach and Kitchell of Richwoods, MO in charge.
