Ephraim Flint, s. of Col. John Flint and Abigail Butterick, b. Mar. 4, 1713/14 at Concord, Mass. He d. Dec 26, 1762 at adjacent Lincoln, Mass., Æt. 49.

On Mar. 31, 1743 at Concord, Ephraim m. Ruth Wheeler, dau. of Thomas Wheeler and Mary Munroe, b. Feb. 5, 1726/7 at Concord, Mass. They had six recorded children, the eldest two at Concord and the rest at adjacent Lincoln, Mass.:

• i. Ephraim Flint, Jr., b. May 13, 1745 at Concord, d. Sept. 1, 1824 at Lincoln, Mass.; m. 1) July 2, 1772 at Lincoln, Katherine Fox, dau. of Jacob Fox and Abigail Bridge, b. Jan. 12, 1751/52 at Concord. She d. Oct. 18, 1785 at Lincoln. Ephraim m. 2) Mar. 8, 1798 at Concord, Rebecca Wright, dau. of Joseph Wright and Rebecca Heywood, b. Feb. 1, 1761 at Concord. She d. Apr. 2, 1843. Five children of record, all by 1st wife Katherine.

• ii. Mary Flint, b. Mar. 22, 1746/47 at Concord, d. July 21, 1846 at Lincoln, Mass.; m. Sept. 12, 1769 at Lincoln, Samuel Hartwell, s. of Ephraim Hartwell and Elizabeth Heywood, b. June 25, 1742 at Concord. He d. Aug. 12, 1829 at Lincoln, Mass. Eight children of the family.

• iii. Capt. John Flint, b. June 9, 1754 at Lincoln, d. Sept. 6, 1810 at Lincoln and is interred at Walpole, NH; m. July 9, 1795 at Lincoln, Esther Fuller, dau. of Dr. Noah Fuller and Esther Ware, b. Jan. 25, 1768 at Wrentham, Mass. She d. Jan. 12, 1811 at Lincoln and is interred at Walpole, NH. Eight children of the family.

• iv. Abel Flint, b. June 22, 1758 at Lincoln, d. unm. Jan. 27, 1789.

• v. Ruth Flint, b. Nov. 3, 1760 at Lincoln, d. Mar. 1, 1838 apparently unm.

• vi. Abigail Flint, b. Mar. 30, 1763 at Lincoln after her father's death, d. Apr. 28, 1813 at Westmoreland, NH; m. Dec. 29, 1784 at Walpole, NH, John Wheeler, s. John Wheeler and Lydia Allen, b. Mar. 13, 1761 per his Rev. War Pension file (b. Mar. 23, 1761 per Lincoln, Mass. VRs). He d. Jan. 28, 1845 at Westmoreland, NH. At least eleven children of the family.

Following Ephraim's death, the widow Ruth m. 2) Nov. 20, 1766 at Lincoln as his 3rd wife, Capt. Bradwell Smith of Weston, Mass. He d. Feb. 26, 1780 at Weston. Ruth d. July 20, 1809 and is interred at Walpole, NH with her son Capt. John Flint, her gravestone stating she was the "Widow Ruth Flint alias Ruth Smith consort of Col. Braddyll [sic] Smith." There are no recorded children of this second marriage.

• iii. Capt. John Flint, b. June 9, 1754 at Lincoln, d. Sept. 6, 1810 at Lincoln and is interred at Walpole, NH; m. July 9, 1795 at Lincoln, Esther Fuller, dau. of Dr. Noah Fuller and Esther Ware, b. Jan. 25, 1768 at Wrentham, Mass. She d. Jan. 12, 1811 at Lincoln and is interred at Walpole, NH. Eight children of the family.

• iv. Abel Flint, b. June 22, 1758 at Lincoln, d. unm. Jan. 27, 1789.

• v. Ruth Flint, b. Nov. 3, 1760 at Lincoln, d. Mar. 1, 1838 apparently unm.

• vi. Abigail Flint, b. Mar. 30, 1763 at Lincoln after her father's death, d. Apr. 28, 1813 at Westmoreland, NH; m. Dec. 29, 1784 at Walpole, NH, John Wheeler, s. John Wheeler and Lydia Allen, b. He was a gentleman descended from a family of distinction in this Countrey from it's beginning and son of Coll. John Flint of Concord, he was just in his dealings, compassionate and liberal towards his neighbour, he professed a feared regard to the Christian religion and was steady in his attendance on the publick institutions thereof.
