Brian James Hubbard, 42, of Salem, Va., passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. He was born on June 3, 1967, in Portsmouth, N.H., and was the son of Veronica Hubbard and the late Carlton Hubbard. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Alex Hubbard; brother, Michael Hubbard and wife, Michaela; sisters, Kathy Stackpole and husband, Floyd, and Debbi Cornett and husband, Jimmy; nephews, Derick Stackpole, Levi Cornett, Noah Cornett, Danny Katsules, and David Katsules; and other family members including aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of life will be conducted 11 a.m. on Monday, May 24, 2010, in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son with the Father Kevin Segerblom officiating. Inurnment will follow at East Hill Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Published in Roanoke Times on May 22, 2010
