Obituary:
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at York for Andrew E. Holt, 71, who passed away Wednesday evening, October 22, 1952, at Fort Wayne, Ind. Services were held at 3 o'clock at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment was at 4 o'clock Saturday at the Geneva Cemetery with Masonic services at the graveside.
Mr. Holt had been a long time resident of Nebraska, coming to Geneva in 1910. He had worked since 1912 as a telephone employee in Geneva, York and David City. He was manager of the company at Geneva, until 1926. He went to York from Geneva as sales representative and continued in the employment of the company until he was retired in 1940. Because of the war emergency, he was recalled in 1942. In 1946 he retired as combinationman at David City.
Mrs. Holt, who passed away a few years ago, was the former Marcella Flory, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Flory, pioneer Fillmore County residents.
Survivors include two sons, Francis of Maryland and Benjamin of Palm City, Cal.; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Calkins of Winslow, Ariz., and Mrs. Gerald McFadden of Ft. Wayne, Ind., with whom he resided at the time of his death.
