They moved to Fredericktown about 1916, she died at their home there. Death certificate lists cause of death as carcinoma of the colon. She had been in poor health for the past two or three years. The body was brought to Highland and taken to the residence of Joseph & Ida (Hirschi) Marti, her daughter, at Grantfork from whence the funeral was held at St Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork IL.
