A native of Laurens County, Mr. Bedingfield was the son of the late William Andrew and Sarah Elizabeth Rountree Bedingfield.
A former mayor of Rentz,- he was a cotton broker, a retired representative of Reliance Fertilizer Co., and a member of Rentz Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher
Mr Bedingfield died Sunday morning in an Atlanta hospital after a brief illness.
The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Tuesday to remain until the funeral hour
