7 July 1950 DEATHS - LEM W. COSTELLO - Lem W. Costello, 57, of route 1, died of a heart attack at 7 o'clock this morning, while on the way to the Lake of the Ozarks for a fishing trip. Mr. Costello was born and reared in Springfield, and had been employed with the State Sales Tax department since 1934. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal church, the Eagles Lodge, the American Legion, and the Masonic Lodge of Mt. Grove.
Surviving are his wife, Constance, four sons, Frank of 1211 North Fremont, James W. of the home, Lt. Keith W. of Oceanside, Cal., and Edward L. or Gallup, N.M., and four grandchildren. Herman Lohmeyer is in charge of funeral arrangements.
