AGE: 75 OLD BRIDGE

Annie J. Corrigan, 75, of Old Bridge, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Ferefad, Longford, Ireland, she lived in Jersey City before moving to Old Bridge 45 years ago. Mrs. Corrigan attended primary and secondary schools in Ireland, and had earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Middlesex County College. She was a registered nurse for 32 years, employed by South Amboy Hospital, the Visiting Nurses of NJ, and Monmouth Medical Center. She was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge, where she was a CCD teacher for 25 years, a member of their Senior Group, the Altar Rosary Society, St. Vincent De Paul Society and their Bereavement Group. She was also a member of the Pioneer Total Abstinence Society, New York.

Mrs. Corrigan was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Evelyn Gorman; her brother, Richard Gorman; and her sister, Nora Leahy.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Corrigan; her daughters, Eileen Stratton, Mary O'Connell and husband Steven, Sheila Zeman and husband Eric, and Patricia Corrigan; her sons, Kevin and Brian Corrigan; her grandchildren, Emily, Chloe, and Conor Stratton, Sean, Shannon, and Ryan O'Connell, and Ava and Kelly Zeman; her son-in-law, Robert Stratton; her sisters, Pauline Bannon and husband Michael, and Eva Coyle and husband Paddy Joe; her sister-in-law, Teenie Gorman; her cousins, Anita and Donald Gettings, and Patrick Cox; and 32 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 23 and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 24 at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Route 9, Old Bridge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday, May 24 at St. Ambrose R.C. Church, Old Bridge.

Interment will follow to Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
