A telegram from the War Department notifying them of the death of their son was received by Mr. and Mrs. Trach yesterday. No details were given.
Private Trach was a graduate of Central Square High School and was employed by Forsythe &
Gale, Inc., at the time he enlisted in October of 1940.
From the Syracuse recruiting station he went to Mitchel Field, L.I., for training and in January 1942, was sent to Australia, and in February of this year was based in New Guinea.
Surviving besides his parents are a brother, Milton Trach, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Pollack of 2201 South State Street.
