Lucy Sarah Ulma, 89, of 71 Cheever Road, Richmond, died Wednesday morning at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided for the past four months. She had resided in Richmond since 1994, prior to which she had lived in Pittsfield.
Born in Ashwell, England on December 29, 1914, daughter of Arthur and Ethel Hines Worboys, she was educated there. She came to the United States in 1946.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, knitting, flowers, and bird watching.
Her husband, Tadeusz Ulma, died October 28, 1988.
She leaves a daughter, Wanda M. Higgins of Richmond, and two granddaughters.
She also leaves her son-in-law, Richard Higgins, and her two granddaughters, Heidi Orth of Richmond and Kristy Higgins of Middletown, Connecticut.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. William D. Furey officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
