Mr. Charles H. Harmon, age 78, retired business man of Calhoun, passed away at the Johnston-Hall Hospital Monday morning at 9:10 o'clock. Mr. Harmon had been in declining health for several years. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Bertie Strickland; two brothers, W. H. Harmon, of Calhoun, Rt. Two, and Eugene Harmon, of Calhoun; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from the Chapel of Combs Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H. E. Holland and Rev. C. W. Fruit. The following nephews served as pallbearers: Fred and C. H. Boston, Harlston and Walter Harmon, Herbert and Odell Hardy. Music was by Clyde Evans, Earnest Fuller, Claud Nichols and C. E. Moody, accompanied by Miss Virginia Moody at the piano. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near Red Bud, with Combs Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
