Barbara Renee Anderson known to everyone as "Big B" entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 15, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Barbara Anderson was born on February 5, 1958, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Norman Anderson Sr. and Charles Johnson Sr.; her grandparents, Margaret and Author Carpenter Sr., and Cammie Johnson and Judy Jefferson; and a brother, Timothy Johnson.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Natasha and Jennifer Anderson; two special grandchildren, Brandon and Treshawn Stephens; five sisters, Melinda Anderson, Teresa Price, Catherine Kirkham, Darlene Jones and Kelly Gregory; four brothers, Norman Anderson, Charles Johnson Jr., David Johnson and Cardell Poindexter; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her devoted friends, Lisa Wesley and Ida Adams for their unconditional love and support for Big B.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 22, 2010, at St. James Baptist Church, 17227 James Madison Highway, Palmyra, VA 22963, with the Reverend Margaret PC Nelson officiating.
