Sgt. Joshua A. Tomlinson, 24, of Dubberly, La., assigned to Special Troops Battalion, V Corps, Heidelberg, Germany. He died May 18 in Kabul, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their convoy with a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device. He is survived by his wife Rowena Tomlinson of Germany, father Carl Tomlinson and companion Adrienne Sanders of Dubberly, mother Rebecca Jobe and companion Mickey Holtzclaw of Minden, grandmother Dorothy Adams of Minden, sisters Latha Tomlinson and fiancé Joe Nelson of Heflin, Cynda Tomlinson of Minden, brothers Carl (C.C.) Tomlinson of Minden, Jordan Tomlinson of Dubberly. His son Jonas Tomlinson, grandparents Margie and Houston Tomlinson, and Gus Adams preceded him in death.
