On 12 of July 1891 in Greenville, NC, he became the husband of Emma Eliza Briley the daughter of William Lawrence Briley and Rebecca Ann Vainwright. She was the mother of Loyal [Leonard] Earl, Elizabeth Gertrude Brown and Samuel T Turnage.

Funeral will be conducted at Lotz at 2:30 p.m. Monday by Dr. Wade M. Bryant. Interment will be in Sherwood.
