Franklyn Ames Morrow, Sr., 73, of Hattiesburg, died January 27, 2010, at his home in the Dixie Community. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg followed by burial in the Richburg Cemetery.
Pastor Bill Devine will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kemper Morrow, , Mike Slade, Rodney Morrow, Bill Boozer, Joel Michna and Terry Worth and honorary pallbearers will be Lee Perry, Norvel Hatten, Johnny Nelson, Joe Johnson, Jimmy Sewell, Mike Sewell, Harold Tucker, David Hogan, Jose' Arauz and Micky Branton.
Mr. Morrow was a brick mason for more than 50 years and pass member of the Home Builders Association. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and was a member of the Hattiesburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Hattiesburg, Ms.
He was preceded in death by his son Franklin "Frankie" Ames Morrow, Jr. His parents, John David Morrow, Sr. and Lela Rosella Jane Williams-Morrow.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Louise Rouse-Morrow of Hattiesburg, daughter Renee' Morrow of Hattiesburg, Son-in-Law Rodney Morrow, Four Grandchildren, Carley Nichole "Nicci" Morrow- ( Ray) Stiles, Brandi Leanna Morrow ( Frank) Hall, and Derek Justin Grant (Katie) Morrow, Emily Denise (Chris) Morrow-Gillespie; and six Great-grandchildren, Hanna Grace Stiles, Maren Stiles, Judah Morrow, Haylie Nichole Gillespie, Christopher "Hayden" Gillespie and Rodney "Peyton" Gillespie; a sister Rose Michna of Richards, Texas and Archie "Bob" Clark of College Station, Texas.
Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
