Judy Ferrand, 12, Was Fire Victim, unknown newspaper dated Dec. 23, 1952. Judy Ferrand, age 12, and not Grace Ferrand, age 16, was one of three sisters of the John Ferrand family to perish in a fire at their home in Florence, Ariz., last Wednesday morning. The Reporter was informed last Thursday morning that the three older Ferrand girls, including Grace, were killed in the fire which was caused by the exposion of a stove. Word was received this morning that Judy was one of the girls trapped in the blaze and Grace escaped unhurt.
Lillie Mae, age 19, and Rachel, age 15, perished in the blaze with Judy. The remainder of the Ferrand family, who formerly lived on R.R. 5, escaped without injury.
