The following additional information about Dr. Zeller was provided to me by fellow Find-A-Graver, Molly Miller-Rice:

Dr. Zeller was born on November 7, 1858, in Spring Bay, Illinois. His father was a country doctor in the Spring Bay, IL area, on the river. His mother's name was Frederica Caroline Nicolas of St. Louis. She was born in Lorraine, France and she died on May 8, 1865. Frederica was brought to this country at the age of 8. His father was John George Zeller, born in Bavaria (Germany) very close to the Alps, in 1828. John George Zeller emigrated to America at the age 18, returned to Germany 2 years later, and four years after that sailed to New Orleans, arriving in Spring Bay, Illinois in 1855.

Son of Dr. John George Zeller and Friederike Karolinn Nicolas. His mother died in May 1865, and his father married Caroline Winkler Aug. 17, 1865 in Peoria Co, IL.
