JOHN LASKOWSKI
Graveside services for John Laskowski were Monday this week at Wickenburg Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Bert Follmar of Calvary Baptist Church officiated.
Mr. Laskowski died on Dec. 7 at his home in Wickenburg. He had been a resident here 48 years. He was born 90 years ago in Germany.
A prospector whose childhood work experience included coal mining in Germany to support of his family, he had developed a special process for rock grinding to separate gold. He had been a soldier in the French Foreign Legion, moved to Newfoundland where he worked on a fishing boat, and then on to Canada where he cooked for a lumber camp. After migrating to Arizona he located a gold seam in Morristown in 1948.
Mr. Laskowski was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
