Funeral services for George Amos Brunt, age 49, were conducted Sunday at 12 o'clock at Oak Ridge Church, with the Rev. J. W. Eidson of Kilmichael saying the final rites. Interment was in Oak Ridge cemetery, with Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brunt was a native of Attala County and spent many years as a farmer seven miles south of Huntsville. He had many friends in that section, who are grieved at his passing. He was a member of the Bethsaida Baptist Church.
Surviving the deceased are his widow, Mrs. Kate P. Brunt; five daughters, Mrs. Blanche Box, Winona; Mrs. Louetta Dendy, French Camp; Florilla, Effie Dale and Gundola Brunt; two sons, Basco and Roscoe Brunt, French Camp; four sisters, Mrs. Georgia Pullen and Mrs. Mart Peeler, McCool; Mrs. Wiley Pullen, Kosciusko, and Mrs. John Milner, Ethel; two brothers, Otis Brunt, Ethel and Tom Brunt of McCool.
