MONTICELLO — Miss Grace
Roberts, 72, a Monticello school
teacher for 35 years, died at 9:05
a.m. Thursday in White county
Memorial hospital.
She and her sister, Mrs. Ethel
Staggs of here had just returned
from a vacation.
Miss Roberts was born in Monticello,
April 4, 1886, to Fred and
Sarah (Dill) Roberts. She held
degrees from Indiana and Washington
Universities.
Miss Roberts began her teaching
career in 1917 and retired six
years ago.
She was a member of the Monticello
Presbyterian church.
Survivors include two sisters,
Mrs. Staggs, and Mrs. Marjorie
Vandermulen of Port Jefferson,
New York; and a brother, Frank
of Monticello.
Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Saturday at the Miller funeral
home where friends may call
after noon today. Burial will be in
Riverview cemetery.
