Peggy M. Peden, 81, of Dunsworth Manor - Golden Years Care Center, died March 9, 1987, at Cass Medical Center in Harrisonville.
She was born Feb.14, 1906 at Rich Hill, the daughter of Linsey and Nellie Pauline (Bear) Wine. She moved with her family to Clinton as a small child. She lived there for about 20 years and then moved to Valliant, Okla, where she made her home for about 25 years. Ten years ago she moved to rural Pleasant Hill.
In 1966 she was married to J.V. Peden. Her husband preceded her in death.
Mrs. Peden was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Charles E. Jones of Haviland, Kans, William I. Ritchie of Lakeview, Texas, and Austin W. Ritchie of Commerce, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy F. Parks of Pleasant Hill; two stepsons, Jim Ritchie of Amarillo, Texas, and Roy Ritchie of Claredon, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Graveside services under the direction of the Wallace Funeral Home were held March 12 at the Parks Chapel Cemetery near Tightwad, Mo; burial in the Parks Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Buck Williams officiated.
