Services were held for Mrs. B. W. (Monte) Allen, 65, Dec. 10. at the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake with the Harpole-Tenold Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery at Spirit Lake. The Rev. Wayne L. Carlson officiated at the service and Mrs. Blaine Hoien was organist.

Pearl Salmonson Allen, the daughter of Charles S. [Charles Johan] and Ida C. Waldruff [Waldhoff] Salmonson, was born Oct. 9, 1908 at Clinton, Minn. She attended school at Clinton,
Redwood Falls and Glencoe, Minn., and high school at Ortonville, Minn., and Moorhead State Teacher's College.

She was united in marriage to B. W. "Monte" Allen at St. Paul, Minn., on June 1, 1936. To this union one daughter was born.

Pearl passed away at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital at Spirit Lake Dec. 7, 1973 at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 28 days.

Survivors are: her husband, "Monte," her daughter, Christina Louise Allen, at home; two sisters, Mrs. A. W. Erickson of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Howard Helgevold of Ft. Dodge; three brothers J.C. Salmonson of Dearborn, Mich.; R. H. Salmonson of Ortonville, Minn., and Theodore Salmonson of Duluth, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
