Charles W. Grosser, Jr., 69, of Upper Allen Twp., Mechanicsburg, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at Select Specialty Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born March 25, 1941, in Danville, PA, the son of the late Charles W. and Eva (Underwood) Grosser.
Charles was previously employed with Fruehauf for 13 years, and also had been employed with Knouse Foods and Capital Beauty Supply. He was a graduate of Northern York County High School, class of 1960. Charles was a avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan as well as a Penn State fan and loved his dog, Bear.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth C. (Snyder) Grosser; three sons, Charles D. and William D. Grosser, both of Mechanicsburg, and Michael E. Grosser of Enola; two daughters, Bertha A. Bright of Middletown and Peggy A. Trayer of Lewistown; and one sister, Margaret M. Treon of Franklintown. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, May 21, 2010, at 11:00 am in the Franklintown United Brethren Church, 10 N. Baltimore Rd., Franklintown, with the Rev. Charles W. Milliken officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. A viewing will be held Friday from 10-11 am at the church.
