OBIT Nancie Birkley, was born in Kentucky, Oct 17,1826.She moved with her father's family to Rush County when a small girl, when her father died, she was placed with a Mr. Smith and later a Samuel Hood. She married Francis M. Ray, Feb 7, 1844, they had seven sons and one dau. Her husband died July 22,1858 from a fall while working on the church. She died at the home of her son Amos on Apri 1,1899 in Clarksburg,she was buried in Kingston Cemt. Her six sons survive and her dau, Mrs Amanda Marlin of Nebraska who could not attend.
