Christy Marie Harris, 50, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Carlton Wayne Harris. Born January 20, 1960, in Byron, MI, she was the daughter of the late James Earl and Doris Ruth Woods Hillman.
Christy was a produce assistant for Food Lion and attended Evington United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter Regina Marie McHenry of Lockport, NY; two sons, Michael Aubrey Carter, Jr. and Craig Newman, both of Lynchburg; one sister, Cindy Mayberry of Lynchburg; three brothers, James Hillman and family, Jack Hillman and family, and Thad Hillman, all of Lynchburg; and three grandchildren, Jason Aubrey Carter, Caitlyn Elizabeth McHenry and Ricky Dale McHenry, III.
A graveside service will conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Evington United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. John Franklin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and other times at the residence.
